I just had STB replace the entire rear end in my 2005 GMC Z71 and take care of an exhaust leak as well. I could not be happier with the work performed. Where the difference was from most places was the service! Steve called me before fixing anything and let me know how much it would be and how long he would need to have my vehicle. I met Steve through my little sister (Sonja). My vehicle had an ongoing noise,time and time again, which could not be detected my previous mechanic (who then was approaching his senior years). It’s hard to think about finding another trustworthy mechanic.
One day Sonja said “I keep telling you to take it over to Steve at STB Automotive in Manchaca !!” Steve’s crew detected the problem and had it fixed in 5 minutes for a reasonable rate, it made a believer out of me. That was about 8 years ago.
Steve is a very trust worth,great personable mechanic and has helped me out of many mechanical situations. Steve has recently coached me through finding a previously owned vehicle which I’m very please with.
